White Man’s Dilemma

White Man's Dilemma

The white man has a dilemma. He brought it on by his own complacency. He relaxed and made room for others to take his place and move over.

White Man’s Dilemma

For many years the white guy had the upper hand

He ignored the pending storm

He ignored the competition

Got preoccupied and ignored history

Too busy to stay tuned to reality

The slave is forced to work hard

While the master gets complacent

And he learns his lessons well

And eventually becomes the boss

He invented easy to use equipment

The world’s biggest earth moving machines

Can now be operated by the delicate hand

The computer doesn’t require brawn, only brains

He made creature comfort supreme

Invented laws to protect the weak

And the weak became strong

Women’s liberation came along

In his heart the good old boy syndrome still exists

But self-indulgence does much harm

When others are working to displace you on your throne

Advantages of old can vanish

Tough competition is coming for you

Your sister is saying

Move over brother

Make room for me

And your other brother

Of a different color

Wants to join us too

You will find there is plenty of room

The world is a big house

With many rooms

You see

You have done well brother

Now we want to play too
