My daddy told me

In nineteen forty –three

Oleo-margarine is axle grease

For the wagons

Is fine to grease the shoes

And good butter

Is for people to eat

If they work hard

And want to stay healthy

Seventy years later

We now find

This to be true

But no one cares

Now the food processors

Have the control handle

And they can’t ask my daddy

What should be done

Shelf life is important

And seasonings that delight

Is what sells the food

And keeps the customers happy
