Body Cleansing And Detoxing

Body Cleansing And Detoxing

I wish to discuss my take on body cleansing and detoxing. We hear a lot about this now a days.

Body Cleansing and Detoxing

“Cast Thyself Into The Enfolding Arms Of The Angel Of Water For She Shall Cast Out From Thee All That Is Unclean And Evil.” – The Dead Sea Scrolls– 3rd century BCE to 640 AD.

Three quick methods of body cleansing and detoxing are: a hot bath or shower, sweating, and drinking plenty of good clean water.

The body is designed to keep itself healthy and happy. We only need to give it a little assistance by not overpowering ourselves with too much of an overload of toxins. With a little help from the owner and master—meaning ourselves. Of course, our bodies will cleanse themselves and get rid of a load of things that should not be there or things that it does not need nor want.

Skin The Largest Organ

The body’s largest organ is the skin and it can get rid of a heap of unwanted stuff by sweating it out through the pores. Let’s start by acknowledging that sweat does not smell nice. Also, in today’s world we do not want to offend others. Many of us find it necessary to use odor-control products. However, these pose a problem. The manufacturers design them to plug our pores. “Ouch.”

If we wish to keep healthy skin and get rid of toxins we need to cleanse it. Furthermore, a daily hot bath or shower of at least fifteen minutes will do the job.

Sweat Cleanses

A good sweat will clean our skin deeper and of course will help us stay healthy in other ways. Additionally, it will help move our bowels, maintain a healthy heart and body and a healthy mind.

Our old friend water is not to be ignored. As a matter of fact, my favorite way to maintain a decent water flow is to drink four ounces during each hour that we are awake. We will never feel bloated and our bodies love this method.

Something else to remember is that hot or warm water can be an enjoyable drink. Besides, if you stop and pay attention to it, you can really taste the water. This can be an alternative to coffee, pop or any other beverage.
